# At-Will Fee Harvesting

The Guru of a fund is able to collect fees based on the profits they have earned for the depositors at any moment. When harvested, a "high watermark" is applied to the fund at the token price that fees were harvested at.

In order for the Guru to harvest fees again, price needs to be above the current high watermark, and if a user withdraws their tokens in profit below where the current high watermark is, they will not pay any fees as the fees were already collected.\
\
At-Will Fee Harvesting enables the Gurus to get paid for their performance and lock in profits for themselves, rather than having to wait for users to withdraw in order to get compensated.\
